Picked up an EHX Freeze from my local Best Buy for $50 and tax on clearance. Hadn't gotten around to trying one before. I figure I can't go wrong at that price.

The freeze is yummy and that is quite the price. I just upgraded to a superego!!

it's the Freeze, but it has one more mode that triggers the tiny tiny looping when you hit the strings hard enough.

and it has an efx loop, so you can play your clean signal through and send the Frozed Up sound to whatever pedz are in the loop.

i fucking hate EHX. but they got the Freeze and Super Ego right. they're really cool.

Would you say your tone is more in your bass or your rusty box or neither?

I sat down with a dingwall for a good 20 min and I found myself (in the minority from what i've read) being pretty uncomfortable with the fan frets. maybe I needed more time to adjust but I didn't like it
The bass was nice and I loved the string tension and sound however

um. the tone is probably mostly the Dinger, the bit of break up/grit is the Rusty. that dirty grrL does NOT want to do super clean tones.

and i love her for it.

yah. i've got largish hands, so the first position which is usually where people hate the stretch is comfy for me. i had it for about 10 minutes before i knew it was the only bass i'd ever want. got lucky. LOVE IT.

Behndy with the SWOOSH. The effects loop makes this thing. Ive got a pitch shifter, phaser and tremelo in the loop and its got such nice movement. Gottta figure out a dirt pedal to throw in there.

The gliss works for me much more than i thought it would. The freeeze is going on a baby board for my synth.

I love my Freeze, but I'm kind of annoyed I didn't realise the Superego existed when I bought it; For a couple of months now I've been thinking "I wish the Freeze had an effects loop", "I wish there was an auto-Freeze-detect mode" and the Superego does all that.

Buying one this Thursday when I get PAID, son.

Meanwhile, I just bought an Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker for my Hot Rod Deluxe. Woo.
