So gholas just got back to practicing (loooong hiatus from recording/ people doing grown up things etc....) and I got to run my 2x15 at full volume Sunday. Every guitar player should play through 15s. That is all I have to say about that. Every palm mute and down beat I felt in that special area.

I keep thinking about downsizing my board and making my current board an add on recording board. Half my pedals aren't plugged into anything which is a drag. At home I'd like to have them all powered and wired up so they are quick and easy to access instead of just sitting on the window sill.

I wire up three functioning boards, my main board and two add ons that contain my noisemaker and weird modulation stuff and my octave/analog synth-type stuff plus whatever dirt/fuzz/OD/delay/etc I'm not currently using with my primary setup.

All will run solo (powered by CIOKS DC10s) or I can incorporate each into my main board by plugging right into an empty channel of my True Bypass looper. Total overkill for a band/live situation but it's great for writing/jamming/recording. Also, like u mentioned, it keeps pedals off the shelf just collecting dust and gives me instant, easy access to almost everything I own. Almost....

Yeah, dude. I've always wanted to try some!!!

The craigslist ad I responded to only had a stock photo and they were the 14" sizes. When the guy texted me pics and I saw that they were 15", I went from this :yay: to this

As you should have!!!! If I ever get back into playing drums I'd like to get another set Paiste Rudes... 15" hh. 24" ride, 22" crash / ride, 20" ride. But I'd have to get someone to build my custom acrylic kit first...... 26x24" Kick, 16x14" Rack tom, 20x18" Floor tom, 15x10 Snare. Only problem would be trying to fit that kick drum through door ways hahahaha

But there is the doomiest ride of them alll.....

oh man, that acrylic kit would KILL!!!!! Those sizes are pretty wicked. When I was searching for acrylic kits, I almost bought a Fibes set that was 26" bass, 15" rack tom and 18" floor tom. Craigslist guy never got back to me about them and I ended up going with the set I currently own....which randomly enough, are also Fibes. Smaller sizes, though 22/16/12. Fucking loud and shit drums, though. They are awesome.

Our drummer uses a 24" acrylic ludwig kick and a 14x6 acrylic snare, and those shits are unruly loud. He used to mic the old kick drum at practice, now he doesnt need to and it cuts through louder! I used to rock a ludwig accent bonham kit, 26" kick, 16" rack, 18" floor and loved it but when i blew out my knee and ankle and put a hurtin on my shoulder and wrist I had to call it quits so I sold them regrettably  as now I'm rehab'd enough to where i could rock them out every once in a while and feel good. But alas all I have left is my lil "beat" kit, 22x20" mahogany kick, 10x5" popcorn snare, 15" avedis zildjian hi-hats and some weird off name 22" european ride.

In the doom world nothing is overkill  and yeah it does sound pretty freakin wicked, too bad he was using pencils and hitting like a pansy. Break out the marching sticks on that bad boy and lemme hear how loud it can get!!!
