Re: Mountainking Electronics
Hey guys quick question,
I just bought a Tectonic Shift on ebay. How do these compare with the Megalith? I play guitar and I tune to drop A and play through a Matamp Gt120 and an Electric VU120. I play grind and doom mostly.
Thanks!

Re: Mountainking Electronics
The Megalith has quite a bit of top end bite that you can't really dial out.
It has a somewhat synthetic sound to it.
Down tuning is where it really shines.
Not that either of those are problems.
You can tweak it to sound similar to more familiar circuits, but it really does it's own thing.
I don't think there would be too much overlap with the TS.

Re: Mountainking Electronics
The TS is a super fuzz variant (left side) and muff variant (right side). From what I can gather... the Megalith is pretty unique sounding. I haven't had one, yet. I have a TS and play it through a Mat as well. Sounds wicked. Can't wait to get my hands on some Mountainking gear, love all the demo's I've heard. I have only have heard good things from people as well.

Anybody rockin' the Frequency LSD on bass?
Honestly, there isn't anything from Mountainking that doesn't interest me.

Re: Mountainking Electronics
I certainly recall Jero and sanfordandsonny having tried one.
If I remember, it's not quite the bassiest fuzz out there.
Lacking some lows and stability.
But, you know, that's like, cool and stuff.
Once again, the Magnetar is calling me.

Oh, What's with that 2nd signature you ask? That belongs to thee Al Cizneros of OM!
Brought the lid to a show and the OM album/shirt artist offered to get him to sign it after the show. My bros got free durga shirts signed by he whole band! yeah we're that awesome.

You should do another one anyways, I would like to hear how it sounds now that you'v been messing with it for a while, also I don't think you were running the behemoth in combo with the SBB or Megalith at any point.Bassboar wrote:Shit, I forgot about those!!!!!
