how to make a strat worse...

made out of swamp Kauri. which is in no way a tonewood, especailly since its filled in with shitloads of resin. and that "Patu" shaped headstock... :wha?: :no:
and those pickups are the worst sounding POS ever

The first thing that popped into my mind--3-4 different Gibsons. :lol:

LP, SG, Firebirds, and some hollow-bodies aside (<--all depending on color choice, since most of their designers are colorblind)...they've designed some real dayglo-amoeba-gumby-looking shit.

to be fair, though, i played one of those 12-strings back in the 70s when people did all kinds of crazy shit (one of the guys i knew on the coffeehouse circuit owned it) and it was a cool instrument with a sound all its own, kind of a cross between a 12er and a cittern.

Dear god, I must have a problem, because I dig both of those hard.

That said, the Firebird X is an unmitigated disaster, and the Robert Smith signature thing is a Gumby-riffic abomination. So I guess I'm an outlier on the curve, but not totally at the fringe...
