I decided to be a bitch and not splurge on myself for my birthday. :(
If anything, I may sell some older pedals of mine.

At least I still have my Prophet 08. :joy:

Why does good stuff pop up when I'm trying to save for a bigger purchase?

RADNESS!

yay! what size did you get?

lol. i love their stuff maybe too much. i have a PT-Pro, Jr and a Bass bag. gonna pick up the keyboard one this weekend. if i ever get it together enough to order a second Dinger i'd so get one of their Two Basses One Cup bags too.

LOVE. THEM.

Pt pro. When I eventually get a new guitar I'll roll with mono. I can't be more happy with the pt pro bag. Soooo much better balanced.

I'm GAS'ing for a new tremolo. Anyone have a small box Catalinbread Semaphore TT, Empress Tremolo, Diamond Tremolo, or Cusack Tap-a-Whirl they'd consider letting go of? I'm really only interested in the Catalinbread right now, but I'd consider the others.

Iron Ether⁞⁞Black Arts Toneworks⁞⁞Dr. Scientist⁞⁞Fairfield Circuitry

Doom Room - type fast, riff slow

I have an empress trem that will never, ever leave my board. :p

Sounds are godly. Tap function is great - it averages four (or five?) taps, which makes it very accurate. Can't tap triplets, but you can get around that by tapping your tempo at a different ratio to the song. Who cares. Still the best trem. Ever.

First Fender pedal I've ever wanted...

Please report your findings!

The first one I got was a factory dud, I couldn't get any sound out of it and the lights flickered on and off when I adjusted the guitar cable. Had to be returned for a refund.
Hooked up the second one, and it seemed like I was having similar problems - no sound, but all the lights and switches seemed to work fine. Turned it off and on again a couple of times and it started working.
I think the thing to watch out for is that it's made in China, and they just slap them together and don't test them or even burn in the circuitry. Now that some electricity and signal have passed through it for what is likely the first time, everything seems to be fine, but it took a minute. I also did a calibration according to the instructions, just to make sure everything was doing what it should.

It seems to be pretty sturdy. The treadle is solid aluminum, though the pics make it look like plastic, and there's no wiggle there. There's no string or arm mechanism under it, it looks like the only connection to the guts is at the axle of the rocker, where it probably turns an internal pot.

It works a little differently than what you'd expect. I had to read the manual to understand the way it behaves. The treadle is more of a set it and forget it kind of thing than something you play like a volume pedal or a wah, but it can be used that way too. The feedback doesn't engage instantly, it takes a second to swell in as it reacts to what you're playing, basically matching whatever note you hold rather than indiscriminately noising all over everything. These are only my first time results though, with the guitar plugged straight into the pedal, distortion after. It says that results will vary depending on all the obvious factors (input volume, pickups, dirt before or after, etc).

It seems pretty cool overall. There's a little bit of a learning curve and the feel of it will take some getting used to, but that's to be expected with things that have never been done before...

I went on a low/medium bidding frenzy on ebay and got killer deals on everything, except the Megalith, which I scored here in the BST. I still have bids on 4 other things, but will probably get outbid on all of them...
