Just negotiated a deal for a DannDubbleEwe etched Black Forest today, should be here soon, pics coming. I saw it last weekend when I visited Mark down in Chattanooga, goddamn was it sexy just sitting there waiting to be built. I had to apply some pressure to get him to let it go but he rules so soon it will be mine!

Also got a Dwarfcraft Surrender Dorothy rehouse in the works, hopefully soon....

I've got a spot on my board for one of these for sure. Simple and tiny. How long until a stereo version comes out eh?

Got a spot reserved for one as well. When are they available in the States, end of March?

All packed, ordered a couple of Solid Cables speaker cables with it.

Came with a Funn O))) sticker and a Mercury power cord.

Some documentation in silver sharpie on the back. Those EL84s look TINY in there.

The controls are Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume, HF Drive.

FIrst impressions are that the tone of this amp is right up my alley. No mid or low mid scoop, just a nice flat response that you can add to. Good warm, slightly dirty sound with the gain low, great high gain tone. Perfect mid frequency, sounds good maxed. Too much bass, kept it on noon or below but nice to know that there is a lot more on tap. HF Drive can get harsh but works really well to add in some sparkle when the volume is lower. 20 watts isn't much but for recording and playing in the house it's good. Mid gain pushed with an Elements sounded really good. Lowish gain with a Pharaoh it got really sludgy in a good way. Fun amp. Looks great too... I'm a sucker for that Matamp style plexi front panel and the handles.

Awesome, just received mine today as well. Gonna plug it in the second I get home from work, can't wait!

There's already a few more posted on the Hovercraft FB page that I'm totally interested in. Fuck.

I missed too much while I was nailed to the shitter for a day and a half. If you guys want to shed some kgs, I can guarantee gastro virus one way to get it done. Not a pleasant way, but a way.
I shat green at one point.

Yeah, all I could stomach was green zooper doopers (like a cordial iceblock, mostly watery). The disturbing part was though, I passed the bright green stuff (which was the iceblock) about 20 minutes after eating it, which I thought was physiologically impossible. Apparently, my stomach didn't want to retain anything.
I ended up dropping 800gs in a day, my wife lost a full kg and thank fuck my kids didn't get it, somehow.

I lost 15 pounds last July thanks to a really good bout with Norovirus. That was a horrible 72 hours, including a solo drive from Cleveland, OH to Nashville, TN. I almost didn't make it.

Dude, that's insanity. I couldn't comprehend having to drive down the street, let alone a distance like that. 15 pounds is massive, too! I'm honestly surprised and amazed you survived that, what got you through?

gawddamn there's a lot of awsome over the last few pages.

Ancient Warlocks album. Fuck yeah.

Nicks Cthulhu and tourbox. D if it goes to you can Tony and I check it out? Or better yet have another visit and we'll feed ya and blast amps again :D

Novik Amps. Did a quick search. Where can ya buy them???

Dwarvenaught looks rad man. I should get one of those for the living room.

Green poop is DooM.

D's got enclosures! AB's for everyone!

SLAYER!!!

As for mixing drivers, I run 10 12's, 2 10's and 2 15's in my current setup. tony's running an 8x10 and an 18. Shit sounds really fucking good.

I just sold my Marshall valvestate so a ditto looper is probably coming my way as soon as they are for sale.
Thanks for the review, sounds like its what i need.

And finally I have this idea for a 4-6 channel looper which would have a volume for each loop. I'm thinking I can figure it out with a little effort but has anyone done this? Is there a schematic out there? I really only need 3-4 but why not leave room for additions.

I'M FUCKIN HARDCORE

and for the real reason, I had scheduled a fingerprinting for the day I had planned to arrive (part of getting started with my new job) and my exhausted, destroyed brain thought that I NEEDED to make it down there in time for that and couldn't really change my plans, especially since I started the job 2 days later.

There was a point during the drive where I had to stop every half hour or so just to slump over the steering wheel for five minutes and down a bottle of juice and a bottle of water. I try not to unironically hyperbolize but that's close to being the most miserable I've ever been in my life. And that's coming from a Cleveland sports fan.

I have a Moen loop switcher off of eBay that works great and they have a 4 loop version but no volume controls.

The 4 loop has a cool feature where you can change the order of the loops between patches.

I've gotten really used to being able to step on one button and switch multiple pedals but I could get away with a regular bypass looper if the switches were close enough together.

I would recommend getting one or two extra loops and use one for at tuner bypass. Having a tuner/mute switch is nice.

This place has some pretty good kits: http://www.roadrageprogear.com/4-loop_t ... l_kit.html

Or built: http://www.roadrageprogear.com/4-loop_t ... pedal.html

Being able to change the order would be a nice feature. I'm really set on the volumes though. I have a couple pedals that sound amazing but have wildly varying volumes. The destroyer is the best/worst at that. I've thought about modding the pedal but this might be a better and more versatile solution. Adding a volume pot to the circuit should be fairly easy unless I'm missing something.

looking at this-

I'm thinking the volumes would be best on the back with the ins and outs so you don't accidentally step on them. Might have to drill the holes for in/out to be a little lower so they are not in the way.
Any thoughts you all have on this would be greatly appreciated. :thu:

Could use some sort of trim pot that sits flush that you set with a slot screwdriver. If you are leveling pedals then you only need to set the pot once.

that's a great idea! I'm also thinking a master volume at the end would be a good thing to have on there. Then you could have the amp/amps as loud as you want and control volume from the pedal board.

never knew they were that dirt cheap in there.

in here i don't think i've ever seen one under 750. that's euros. super expensive when bought new, almost nobody can afford them.

well this is the US.

People try and get 750 US for them here though and some do which is fucking absurd. I was pretty disappointed in the Mesa I tried out for a potential buy. On paper they are everything I could want in an oversized cab down to the v30s but the cab I tried was lack luster. I was far more surprised by the quality of Krank cabs than Mesa and they aren't really that much different beyond speakers from what I remember.
