its the same wanking in any demo ur going to get. No one is going to rock is like us doom guys do. PGS and Prymaxe do the same shit with just better skilled players and better recordings but no one is cranking shit up and unleashin the kraken like i will in demos. Gotta live with it.

That was easy.

How huge are you making it? FAC Off sized or maybe smaller?

Gotcha. With these new tax laws I got jack squat back and they're taking more out every paycheck.

yea i earned bout 25-30k so something like 2500-3500 in taxes. Motherfucker...

Damn, is that from Dunwich? That hurts, man. I got a surprisingly solid refund this year, whereas last year was just a couple of hundred bucks. I intentionally had 'em withhold more this year, though, so I didn't owe in much. Gotta pay MS and CO 45 bucks a piece.

Edit - Saw it's from TA/RA stuff. That's weird, I just assumed all states/institutions taxed those. Both my TA pay when I did my MA and my pay now in PhD are taxed.

It depends, sometimes i just throw up demoes on one settings and jam. Sometimes i show settings. Either way shit is turned up and i try to play stuff relevant to my own interests. Certainly skews the target audience. Im sure TPG blues lawyers wont bother with my stuff but hey maybe thats not a bad thing. I generally askew any talking as i hate my own voice in recordings but more importantly i hate it when in demos people talk. I just wanna the gear played and not any chatter.

don't take this the wrong way - did i say something bad about your videos? I actually like your videos even though it doesn't really demonstrate the amount of volume that's going on.

I was talking about the ES2 video they had over there - unless that was you (was it?) playing then I don't understand your response entirely :P

IF IT WAS YOU - do it again and film the pedal! i just assumed you didn't own a music-shop.

nah i didnt take that as a jab to my videos in the least. No worries. I was merely commenting on what you said, including some personal thoughts on demos with references to mine. Nope that was not me in the video, wouldnt be caught dead using a Strat. I just didnt think the demo was bad per say as its similar in some scopes to how i do a demo. Off the cuff and not super thorough. I do try to do a lot of different demos of one product so the aggregate of all the demos provides u with something. For example, in the past few amps I have not done a demo explaining all the controls and all the little details. I sort of just plugged in and doomed out. People kind of get the idea more from that IMO. I think people some times pre-form ideas based on the controls and what they think they do rather then how the amp sounds.

if it came off a little odd, its because i tend to get tangential very fast so bear with me. I did not mean to come off as dickish as it might have sounded

Hey Dan,

Mind your own fucking business,

Cheers,
Mark.

Was I in the wrong? When I told this guy that I was only trying to help, he responds with this:

Fair enough Dan if you want to get into it. I was actually offering a bit of help to you. I offered that price and he excepted. The whole thing about a transaction is that its between the interested parties. I know what you are saying to me though ''why are you being so tight of twenty quid'' kinda thing. Its because why not? Who are you to say that I didn't know this fella and he owned me something or that i would drive up and pick the amp up off of him? That's why i told you to keep your nose out of it because you don't know what you are talking about. For all you know i'm Richard Branson. That's why it is important to look at the bigger picture when it comes to this sort of a thing which is if you don't know don't act. You sir of the piece of work and to insult me and then tell me i'm the ''Piece of work'' is just ill. Just to have you know i'm the nicest fella you could ever meet and my comment is so long because i'm hung over and my girlfriend is watching ''I Could Never Be Your Woman'' so I'm bored out of my shit pretending to do some work.

Why are people such fucking assholes? My Dad drove two and a half hours up to Donegal in the North of Ireland after I found him a car on DoneDeal.ie. The car looked in great condition, but when he got up there it had obviously been in an accident. He told me it was totally mangled. He didn't even greet the guy and just drove away. He did happen to find a different car on the way home and bought it, so he's happy, but still. The advert has since been removed.

Fuck that guy. I don't point stuff out like this because of these folks - they want to know it all and talk down to people. I've got no patience for that sort of fuckery.

I want a black AMG so fucking bad. I've only heard good things about all of them.

That sucks dude - any way you could claim some losses on Dunwich to even it out at all? When I was doing my grad degree the doc students got fucking massive cost of living and 'conference/travel' stipends that weren't taxed on top of their guaranteed GA positions. We did pretty well on taxes this year since we had a fucking disgusting amount of medical bills to write off, but we were responsible and paid off one of the ladies more obnoxious student loans with it...so no new toys this year :grumpy:

true i 95% of the time I am doing dirt as I dont make a delay and or I often just use delay for basic effect on an amp. The demo department could use some upgrading here but I just dont have a ton of time to play in general to justify it right now.

yes please. i also want to get a Mutron Phasor cloned to try against my ever-faithful Small Stone.

Small stone rules, you should check out the Whetstone if you long for a super pimped out version of that fantastic phaser.

That said, I recently acquired a MuTron BiPhase for $650 (which is a goddman steal believe it or not!) and it's easily the best sounding phaser I've ever heard, far and away. Of course it's gigantic but I'm thinking it's just two of the standard Phasors paired up with multiple options on how to run 'em.

The Infanem Faye Sing is the only current production I know of based on a MuTron Phasor and it's pretty cool. I have the Faye's Her, the limited run BiPhase-ish offering from Infanem, dual Faye Sings, and it sounds mighty close to the BiPhase but not quite there. It has WAY MORE in terms of options and control tho....

I saw that too man killer deal if it's all legit. Hope you get it. I have to much money tied up in gear thats sitting on cl and not selling right now. Might have a bite on my marshall, but that's still put me a few 100 short. Good luck man!
