Bummer. I saw his band at the ILF Midwest meet up a couple years ago. Hope he shows up. This has been happening way too often. :mope:

These stories are what frighten me from every doing a trade on a message board.

Well that being said, the 20-30 transactions that go on around here each day, to only have 1 "problem thread" ever 2-3 months is rather outstanding imo. Maybe I am just lucky, but I have had 30-40 positive transactions with vets as well as some with people who have had less than 20 posts.

generalized number considering ilf hosted builders and b/s/t transactions. Doesn't seem too far off, other than the past 2 months that have been slow due to the Holiday recoup. :idk:

aeonrevolution, this is a great place to move and acquire gear. It's just recently a small handful of trades have gone sour. I've never had a bad deal here.

to echo what is said above I have done a ton of deals on here and only had one that didn't go great, and that got resolved.

I wish I had an exact number of good deals, I have three in transit now and that seems like a normal week I guess.

I have had good deals on TGP and the Facebook pedal page, but this is the place I trust the most.

For the most part the people here are honest and hold each other pretty accountable, I am hoping the thing with Nieh Gets resolved pretty quickly, seems like a nice enough kid.

I agree with everything stated above regarding this being a solid place to buy/trade. I just received 2 pedals in the mail yesterday (1 bought, 1 traded) and have never had anything but good experiences on ILF.

This right here. I mean, be careful and all - check references as best you can, and consider all possible outcomes, but by and large, ILF b/s/t kicks ass.

this is my third bad luck scenario on this forum, but i do a ton of BST so i agree the ratio isn't bad. plus the first two got worked out eventually. just sucks when deals go sour.

So... did you like, pay/send pedal and he didn't?

it was a trade, i received a dead pedal, he said he was sending me another to make up for it. at this point i wish we'd just both returned (or hadn't swapped regardless). i've bought from him before, just bad luck for both of us i guess, but it blows that he's disappeared on me.
