i guess crappy beers if no fancies were to be found. we'd probably be talking about gear and my cats and food.

I can confirm that Brian enjoys drinking beer and talking gear.

I feel kinda bad for bringing this drama from facebook to here...

This is what I mean when I say pedal builders shouldn't be so keen on voicing staunch and bitter opinions on matters that don't pertain to their business. When Emperor cabs posted that pathetic comment on their Facebook page about Jim Marshall's death, that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Not only do they have intermittently poor customer service and some inconsistent workmanship, they also hate on dead people. :!!!: :!!!: Although I can't afford an Emperor, I'll never choose them over the other cab builders out there. If they had kept their mouths shut, it wouldn't be so bad, but I bet they lost a few customers as a result of that debacle—though I heard they fired the staff member behind the post.

Keep your noses clean if you want someone kissing your cheeks.

Shit like this always gives me a good chuckle.

If keeping your mouth shut and kissing ass was required to be a success in this world, we'd all be living in a Pleasantville hell dimension.

There is a rather large playing field between kissing ass and showing discretion and respect.

It's not so much really keeping your mouth shut as having some restraint in what you say.

In this modern age of communication it's so much quicker and easier to just blurt something out without really taking the time to consider its impact.

If you're trying to sell something (such as pedal builder are wont to do), there should be a temperance between what you actually think and what eventually what gets typed out for the world to see. There will be consequences to those statements. Not everyone is gonna love you, but why alienate potential customers?

When it comes to issues to which we identify closely with, specifically when those issues are in regard to gender, orientation and race, we are more inclined to toss discretion aside for the sake of feeling like we've mounted a valid defense of whatever our deeply held and now challenged beliefs are as opposed to simply allowing someone to work parallel to you while working against you in another way.

I heard you the first time. And chuckling doesn't make your point any clearer, it just makes you louder and more annoying.

Like I said if you'd read my other comments in this thread, I like you and your business. I'm someone who has followed your Youtube channel and career since 2009. But if we can get back to the original topic, I would like to clarify that I feel Jack (or his girlfriend) should show a little more respect for the variety in the industry. At first I didn't like FBG's actions either. But as I said, I've learned a lot listening and reading about the adult industry, and although I'm not directly comparing FBG to a sex worker or an erotic dancer, I do understand that maybe, just maybe, she doesn't need either our support for anti-sexism or our condemning words of disdain, which is what Jack's Facebook comment had in spades.

This has become a big deal, when there's no need for it. All I'd like is for those in positions of influence, such as you and Jack, to speak with a little more discretion when discussing matters such as morality, because I come to you for pedals, not for gossip. Of course, do whatever the fuck you want. You haven't hurt my feelings or lost a customer, I just think you're being dramatic, and the world is full of drama.

I accept that both Devi and Jack are vocal by nature, and I'm not going to try to diminish that or change them as human beings. All I'm trying to do is ask that those with influence speak their mind with a little more tact and consideration for the variety of humans out there, whilst still getting their point across. It could be as simply as using your personal Facebook page to slander someone, rather than your business one.

I love talking about religion and philosophy, but sadly there are only a few people I know that will not resort to acting like butthurt drama queens, throwing insults and fake laughter around with reckless abandon. A proper conversation doesn't involve any of that nonsense. I don't see why we can't all have our opinions, no matter how extreme they are, but express them in a calm and balanced manner. That's never going to happen, though.

This.

I don't know how tongue in cheek Jack Deville and his avatar woman meant the message to be, or if that's just their excuse in this thread. Either way I think it was a stupid move and I would've thought less of Devi if she didn't respond to it.

All we need now for a family reunion in this thread is an appearance from Fuzz Box Girl.

I wouldn't think LESS of Devi for not responding, but I do think more of her for standing up for FBG. However, I don't think Devi knows this—my fault for not clarifying early enough,

exactly. personally i think it'd be interesting to see what would happen of the hella-christian (i think) JHC dudes said this instead of (supposedly) Jack's girlfriend. but then again, so far they seem to be an example of builders that have enough tact to keep the parts of their faith/morals that could get messy outside of what they do (mostly).

for something like this, tongue and cheek is no excuse as it's a blatant statement that equates to "your morals are wrong. act how i think a woman should act or you are a disgrace" and there ain't nothing tongue in cheek about that or how it was sent across. shits flat out mean, really.

hopefully both of them are actual adults and will apologize eventually. its the least they should do.

Actually, I kind of think respect at least is very important in all facets of life.
