Good with delay ... not bad without delay ... prefer it with delay, and would prefer much more delay, at that.

What fascinates you?

It's like some weird anime mashup of U2, Rush, Dream Theater and Neil Diamond.

Huh.

How 'bout that.

ok so like with this song...
there's very very very little overdubbing live, it's an actual live performance.
now consider that the singer is singing it like a slow ballad even though this feels like it's at like 140ish bpm
one guitarist is playing what could totally be post rock in any other setting, while the other is strumming a few simple chords for most of the song. The drummer, in a different context is playing metal, the tom pattern and the fact that the first verse has no snare in it and could be seen, again in a different context, as an intro.
there isn't any quarter note crash parts thought there very well would be if it was any other band.
It's like they approached it in really minimalist way but with the mindset of 80s LA bands, without losing originality or falling into any stereotype that they didn't actually help create for their countries music scene.
Now you take that and spread it across the vast majority of their catalog, and yeah something about them fascinates me. It's like the Pillows meets Motley Crüe and then maybe Toe thrown in at some points.
Granted a lot of their stuff is absolute shit, but overall there's something about the way they approach songwriting and structure that I really dig.
