Do you have trouble stepping on your cosmi? looks like a tricky angle

A little, but if I use my heel it's not so bad.

That wolf computer has had a lot done to it. Originally a custom mini I talked Mellowtone into making, it kept breaking so I sent it off to Eric or McSpunkle on various occasions to fix it. Then I got it etched (seen here http://ilovefuzz.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=27714&start=60#p504845 ) but because of the way it was initially built, rehousing it destroyed it (I don't fault Danny for it at all, he did a top knob job in my book and even did his best to get it back in working order). It finally got sent to the Kingly God of Fuzz Tom Dalton to be completely rebuilt with a switch to pull in a socketed capacitor in place of one one of the input capacitors. It squelches, screeches and BOOMS now!

That is a sick etching job, what a story haha, but i'm sure it was all worth it. That original label was pretty rad too though.

Totally stealing that for a song name. DIBS!

gotta test a new guitar for a builder friend tomorrow
so I slapped this together
stain on the bottom of the big board is not dry so this will work well

after playing with this for about an hour today I kindof wonder what the point of the big board is and then I tried to wedge a second verb on this and realized why I need it

thanks ryan but i wasnt smart enough to come up with that title either. the gig organizer used it to describe our "sound" so we just ran with that . i think its fairly accurate haha
glad to be here and thanks for having me ILF. i dont post much (not much to say), but im on here pretty much everyday! :hobbes:

jrmy, feel free to use a variation of it...err....pulse glacier tropics?

12XU, the masf possessed was amazing - when it worked. theres a massive volume drop on it. i got it from Tommasters who had the same problem when he had it. he had it fixed but apparently the fix didnt last long. shame coz i really dig that glitchy fennesz thing it does with clean arpeggios. been trying to contact MASF to get it repaired but so far no response :(

That really sucks. Him selling it sparked my interest in it as well, I didn't get one so far because I would not know where in my bands the sound would fit so I rather concentrate on building stuff I actually use.

yup. ive tried everything i could think of to reach Taro. email, facebook, even contacting prymaxe (Taro's dealer) but they cant seem to reach him either. maybe its a language thing? i dont know.

anyways the panda particle seems to pull off some of what the possessed does and lots more. looking forward to trying that :joy:

yeah, he doesn't seem to respond to messages, email, facebook or otherwise. that combined with the resin over the circuits is making me have second thoughts about buying anymore stuff from him. that being said, i'm GASing pretty hard for an epilepsy, somewhere down the road. MASF look and sounds SO good!

i've been doing the fennesz sounds of late too! OP-1 with piano samples and randomized delay!

Sounds awesome. Randomized delay inside the OP-1 or what do you use for that?

yep inside the OP-1, just attach the random LFO function to the delay parameter and there you go!

if nothing else, it's a really great piece of engineering and an inspiring little box.

my situation was, needing a new modular (PAiA was nicked long ago), but not having the money for one (tied up in items to be sold), but needing something more usable than axxe plus pedals or recording on a friends buchlas. OP-1 and Pure Data are filling part of the hole. OP-1 is really limited, but in both good and bad ways. honestly coming from the modular world, it was a little discouraging a few times, but it kept redeeming itself. i got it on sale but with shipping and the surprise VAT (hello!) it was about the same. in retrospect could have sank that money into making my inital eurorack purchase bigger, but then i listen to all the awesome shit i've recorded with it, the show's that my load-in was a fucking backpack and i know i made the right decesion, :)
