Speaking of Strymon, I guess I'm out of the honeymoon phase with my EL Cap. I want a divorce. If I could find a looper I'd just use my Timefactor for delays and loop with something else. The Timefactor cant do loop its own delays though so I need two delays. The search continues...

Timeline looper rules fucking hard, set up similar to a DL4 but expanded and perfected.

Plus you can loop your delays. Shit, you can even scroll through your presets while looping.

That said, if you hated the El Cap due to sonics, the TL may not cut it for you either. You'll also have to spring for a DMC controller to access all the looper functions.

I REALLY didn't like the looper on the TimeLine with fuzz. It just sounded flat for whatever reason, at least with my setup

Jamman stereo looper. Since you run dual amps you'll dig it for the simple fact if you have just your A amp on and record a loop, it will only play through A even when both a and B or just B is on. So you can do weird sound scapes and shit. Easy to use doesn't fuck with tone. I'd look into it.

Oh I can, and I'm sure it will happen given time. For that kind of control though you'd probably need one of those DMC-6 controllers but we'll see. If strymon does release a multi-verb I'm probably going to have to cave and order one, I know our lead guitarist would buy my space in heartbeat if i give him the chance. I'd love to have a mobius but I never use modulation and rarely ever crave those kinds of sounds, but if i could tempo sync everything together (Imagine phaser / delay / verb all perfectly tempo sync'd )..... well that just might change my mind!

Still, when you factor in how much they cost over here, to have all three potentially on my big board at home, it would equate to roughly €1350.

tremolo + verb = win!

I don't use tremolo without reverb. They are inseparable.

Speaking of Strymon, I love my Timeline to pieces but I'm considering flipping the Mobius. All I'm using it for is trem, Destroyer/lo-fi, and occasionally messing with the Quadralatre o whatever that last mode is. On the fence damn it, need to dig in with it and decide...

yea i like when the trem speed is synced to the delay time and the verb fills in the space but i like verb into trem and not the other way around

Me too. I'm used to tremolo being before reverb, out front, while the reverb is in the loop.

The new TC Electronic Ditto looper seems pretty awesome. I mean, you're limited by its one control and multi-tap functionality, but it's so small and affordable that it makes up for it. I'll be picking one up for my small board.

The Timeline looks really cool but I dunno... that's just too much shit for me. I'm just now grasping all that the Timefactor can do. The El Cap sounds great out front of my amp, but in the loop the repeats are non existant. The Jamman looks cool but it and the Timeline are both huge and I'd like to keep my pedals on my PT Jr. The Ditto looks like the coolest and simplest option.

I haven't messed with the looper on the El Cap. I don't have a favorite switch. If I had one I'm sure I'd love it a hell of a lot more.

The El Cap is set up for instrument level signal which is why it doesnt do good in a loop, the Timeline has a selector for line or instrument level (just like the eventide pedals), and it makes all the difference when running it through a loop.

Honestly the sound-on-sound (looper) mode on the el cap is a pain in the ass IMO. I loved the el cap but that was not its strong point. And no it's delay or sound on sound, not both.

I dunno what it was man. When I loop I usually end up doing 20-30 loops and after about 5 I would notice that the loop would start crackling and I'd get this harsh staticy type sound on top of the recorded audio sounding a little dull.

I've honestly not even attempted the TimeFactor's looper yet. I've been having too much fun with it as a delay on its own! haha

Ohhhhhh your talking about stacking loops, yeah once you get past 5 loops it definitely starts degrading in quality and clarity. But it wasn't really designed with that kind of looping in mind. You'd be much better off with a boomerang for that stuff. I usually max out at around 3 or 4 loops and have no issues.

Yeah. I've been using my DD7 and DL4 combo for a good while now. Seems to cover the bases for now, although I've been contemplating a stereo Jam Man to do the same thing without two units

Damn it. I'm "this close" to dumping my trem, verb and looper and going back to an M9 just for simplicity sakes.

The looper is awesome and syncing of effects is SO nice. But I only used like 4 of the 2 gazillion effects in the unit.
