...on being afraid of the dark
who else is?
why do you think you are?
if you aren't what's your opinion of this seemingly irrational fear?
any thoughts on a remedy?

Get bigger, stronger & faster than anything that could possibly be waiting for you in the dark.
Be the monster hiding on top of the bed.
... or just turn the lights on.

This may be one of the most motivational quote I've ever seen.

I'm not. I was when I was really little though. I just forced myself to leave the lights off, sleep with my back to the door, let a leg or arm dangle off the bed, sit in the basement with no lights on, etc.
I got over being afraid of the dark really quick.

That's kinda what I did. But I also live in the middle of nowhere, so I took up going for walks at night (I still do this and take my guitar with me so I can play and sing while I walk).
One time was pretty scary though. I was walking by this cornfield when I heard some rustling pretty close to me. I pulled my flashlight out and dozens of eyes shined back at me from the corn. It turned out to be a bunch of deer which was pretty awesome, but they did scare the shit out of me.

Re: ...on being afraid of the dark
As a kiddo I used to sleep with the light on in the corridor...
It had to stopped when one day the amp explode and scare the shit out of me!
The red lights flicking from the electric christmas ornement (don't know the word...) is nice to sleep... But not really a matter of being afraid or not!
