Iphone 5 question
So I just got a new phone. I decided to go with the Iphone 5, even though all my previous smart phones were droids. Droids suck balls...anyway. I cannot get a customized ringtone to save my life. I installed an app called Ringtones or some shit like that. Follow the instructions, but the instructions fucking suck. iTunes just updated and everything is totally different. So I have NO clue how to get a custom ringtone. I can make my fucking alarm clock any song I want, but not my ringtone. So stupid. You'd think with a company as advanced as Apple, that would be a simple feature that you wouldn't even need a damn app for.
So help mes?

There's a way in iTunes that you can make any song u have in your library into a Ringtone. Then you sync your phone with your itunes and load it on your phone and then you can select it in the usual settings>sounds>ringtone menu I believe.

You probably suck at Google. The ringtone for my iPhone 4 is the chorus for "Apartment 223".

Yeah, there's like 10 stupid steps. It really doesn't take long, but it's annoying.

Re: Iphone 5 question
Ok. So that doesn't work now with the new version of iTunes either because there is no Ringtones tab anymore. There is no option when you right click to change to an AAC file either. I can do it, but it's different and the steps don't really add up. So annoying.

This is where some hipster kids touch their Samsung Galaxy S III's together and share a ringtone right in front of your face.

Re: Iphone 5 question
I remember I tried to make a custom ringtone on my iPhone but iTunes wanted to format my phone which already had tons of stuff on it and I said fuck it. Nobody calls me anyway. And my phone is always on vibrate.
From what I remember, the song has to be in a certain format, .aff or something, and through iTunes when the phone is plugged in there's a place over on the far left menu that says "ringtones". And you drag and drop.
I'm sure I was no help. iPhone ringers are fucking garbage. I rather that techno t-mobile theme over any of these. But I would never get rid of my iPhone.

I never understood why that would be a useful feature. If you're standing right in front of them, you could just show your friend the pic or site you want them to see.
