Well.... Troy was a guitarist in both bands...Billy Howerdell was Tool's guitar tech when Failure were opening for Tool. it's not like people pulled the correlation out of their asses :cool:

but i understand about half those jokes in the OP from my drummer being a Tool love love guy. FUNNY.

i saw Volto one time at that tiny place in LA. not my thing but OOF. some mad skeelz up in thar.

I think it's pretty reasonable to like one of them and not the others. I mean, they're all so different from one another. I don't think there's a whole hell of a lot of overlap in the music styles (other than them all having the same singer).
