Anybody else homebrew? You do? That's awesome! Let's talk about it here in this thread where we can discuss all things homebrew and become bros
My super awesome wife got me a brewing kit for our anniversary in October. First I made an IPA that turned out okay, but a bit flat since I didn't use enough priming sugar. I just bottled a Belgian Dubbel on Saturday that should be super tasty and potent to keep me nice and warm/drunk during the winter.
A couple pics just because:

I know there's a couple of peeps here who do. Me, I just drink it. But I have to say, DAMN - that bottle with the handle on the right side of the photo is SURRIOUSLY BADASS!!! I want one of those!
Yeah - it looks like some sort of Viking drinking apparatus. It holds two liters of beer. Which means I will be getting good and drunk the night I pop the top on it
It's currently in a box just in case it builds up a ton of pressure and decided to explode though
I've been homebrewing for about 7 years now and I freaking love it. I brewed a bock in the beginning of December that has been lagering for about 6 weeks now. Another couple weeks and it should be ready to drink. Not sure what my next brew is going to be. Maybe a stout, since I haven't made one in a few years.

You should give it a shot! It's a really gratifying hobby, and if you drink a lot of good/pricey beer it actually saves money in the long run

I think I'm going to pick up the ingredients for an Irish Red Ale or something of that sort to have in time for St. Patrick's day. Then maybe another IPA or some other ale for springtime drinking
I really want to get into kegging but my wife shut that idea down with a quickness. Something about a bar and kegs in the house being stupid if that room will be a playroom for the future children...
I did a home-brew mid last year, and sadly, it turned out awful. But then, I mostly know where I f'ed up -- I didn't sanitize one of the containers I used to transfer while in a rush, and my transfer to bottles ended up with a lot of sediment. It was a "whiskey barrel dubbel", which may not have been the best starting point; it used wood chips, honey, whiskey, and other ingredients that probably were above my pay grade.

Yeah, I bought a kegerator when my wife and I moved into our house, and I didn't give her the chance to veto it. But it's down in the basement, which is pretty much the only room that's mine now. I've become far too lazy to bottle beer anymore, unless it's in half-gallon growlers or something like that. The days of me washing, de-labeling and sanitizing case after case of 12-ounce bottles is thankfully over.

Yeah it happens to everyone. After my first two beers came out really good, I decided to get WAY too big for my britches and tried a Belgian Tripel for my 3rd homebrew. It ended up as undrinkable swill, although I did successfully get the ABV up to about 11%.
I did the easy mode home brew years ago (the Mr. Beer kits). Ended up tasting really good, my favorite was a nut brown ale that I made with cherries, it was pretty potent. Child's play compared to what some of you guys do though.
Good deals with: Officer Bukowski, Caesar, BriBri, Amorphous, ThePastRecedes

Nah, that's awesome! Anyone who gets into brewing, no matter what they brew, it's all cool with me. We're not going for degree of difficulty or anything. I just like good beer, and being able to customize the beer I drink is even cooler.
One of my favorite beers I ever brewed, just came about from a random idiotic thought that was something like "Wouldn't it be cool to have a beer that was halfway between a Belhaven and a Boddingtons". So I just found recipes for the two and split the difference in the ingredients. It ended up being this fucking delicious creamy dark english/scottish hybrid ale.

DUDE! That sounds AMAZING. Would you do that one again, or do you prefer to try a recipe once and then move on?

Oh yeah, I'll definitely do it again, I've brewed it 3 times so far. And now that I have a nitro setup for my kegerator, it would be even creamier.
