I just usually go with the Merkur blades or Wilkinson Sword, whichever are readily available.Josh Pelican wrote: Any recommendations for blades?

Re: The shaving thread
Just out of curiousity, how often do you change your razors on the Fusion? I've used one for years and have pretty sensitive skin, myself. I've found if I change the razors every 2 months or so, I don't have too much of a problem. Also shaving every 2-3 days helps. Otherwise, I get mad crazy ingrown hairs on my neck and gotta pluck them out. It sucks.

Started getting those dollar shave club razors. The medium priced ones. Best razors I have ever used.

Not to mention, they have this on their website:
You’re going to love your blades. But even if you don’t, you can cancel anytime. Easily.

Do it. Seriously, for the first time ever I don't end up with a cut up neck every time I shave anymore.Josh Pelican wrote:After seeing their commercial, I wanted to try 'em.jfrey wrote:Started getting those dollar shave club razors. The medium priced ones. Best razors I have ever used.

All safety razors are more or less the same.
This's what you need:
Along with some way better shaving cream. Also, it's all about the technique.

Is it just one blade a month? I'm not entirely sure how it works. The website isn't as descriptive as I thought it would be!jfrey wrote:Do it. Seriously, for the first time ever I don't end up with a cut up neck every time I shave anymore.

Depending on which kind you choose they send you 3, 4, or 5, in a package each month.

Re: The shaving thread
I am currently using the Herban Cowboy Musk shave soap with a synthetic brush from The Body Shop. I have the Lord 1822L safety razor coming in the mail. I just need to get a good mug, but I might use a bowl for now. Maybe I'll get the girlfriend to buy me one for our anniversary.
Currently my soap is sitting in an old black Wilksinson Sword shave soap container. My dad used this years ago.
On my next day off, I'm going to buy an alum block/stick and try that out. I also need to find a nice cooling aftershave. I have some Nivea stuff from a year or two ago, but I love trying new stuff. I've wanted to try some Proraso stuff longer than I care to remember.

Oh, wicked. I might give it a whirl after I try out this Lord.jfrey wrote:Depending on which kind you choose they send you 3, 4, or 5, in a package each month.
