Sweeeeet. The simpler it is, the more comfortable, imo. Less distraction. Gotta use dem dynamics.

I dig switches replacing pots. Streamlined and simple.

Yeah, and this particular peg could probably accommodate 1 full wrap of the big part, but you still need the skinnier part of the string to put in the peg first 'cause there's no way in hell the larger part is gonna fit. Everything about this haphazard redneck-arts-and-crafts guitar juuuuust worked out. If Circle K didn't make the tapered ends of their strings so long I would have just thrown away $40.

My pinkies curve inward too, a friend asked me if I had broken them as a child once. So annoying...my hands are pretty big so most guitar necks already feel cramped to me, and on top of that the curved pinky makes it feel like I have a three and a half finger reach, grr...
I might end up leaving the B/E/A strings alone and tuning the rest so they form an open chord or somethin' like that. Maybe even ditch the top four for lighter strings and keep it divided into the "bass section" and the "hey this is a weird tuning" section.

Sheit. Well I'm not sure what to do about that then. Probably wouldn't fit a mustang-esque bass. Poop.
I'll probably end up getting a cheap 32"er then.

& yeah, dem pinkies suck. You hear that, behndy? OUR PINKIES SUCK (pretty well, too ;)

I love the idea of switches instead of pots. what does the tone switch do? full bright and full dark?

It's got pretty good action. Couple of buzzy spots around the 16th and 18th fret.

No tone switch, just on/off switches for each pickup. Full tone all the time.

Have this on a long term loan. Fun bass for sure, won't be replacing my Dingwall though.

So I've posted this around a bit, but it belongs in here. My old/new T-40 (serial number puts it around '82/'83). Beat up pretty good but I'm workin' it into shape. Haven't seen this finish very much, if at all, but it matches my guitar nicely.
