By might, I mean I found them, and am in process of trying to buy them.

I have decided I need to catch up to theavodon, and this is the only way how.

the vertical 4x12s? I own two of those from the late 60's. They both blew out, and now one is part of my coffee table.

Yeah. The guy expected me to get into a bidding war with someone else so I walked away.
Too bad. I probably would have blown them out eventually too, but I've always wanted vertical 4x12s.

So I got a new(old) cab tonight:

Open back 2x12. It was empty, threw a couple vintage 30s in there. Can't wait to get it out of my apartment and somewhere I can get loud.

It's just one of the 50's tribute les pauls they released a few years ago. If I remember rightly, they were only available in Europe with that configuration at the time, but it was CHEAP and GIBSON so I done bought it.

Has some SD Phat Cat p90s in for now, and SCREAMS

I've been looking at those quite a bit - does it play well and all that good stuff? I kinda want to sell my epi silverburst and put the cash towards one of them.

They're good, especially for the cash (as long as you get past Gibson's QC). They do feel exceptionally light, but they're the cheapest Gibson that has a mahogany body and a maple cap (AFAIR), though stock pups are arse.

50's has a nice thick neck, 60's is slimmer, haven't tried the 70's models, but I'd assume you're into the first 2. My one has had some tuning issues before and a slightly wonky truss, but it's settled nicely now.

I do know that mine is slightly different, as it was a limited run - they may have changed some minor details as they seem to be about £50 cheaper now. I know they have the PCB controls, which were a bit crap and broke fairly easily, but we replaced all of the interior with BKP pots and wiring

OH - EDIT - I was also going to mention that the colours other than the Goldtop are a bit crap. The Goldtop looks cooler because it has a sort of maple binding around it from the cap because it's plain wood, but the other's are flat and tacky looking

Yep, I was specifically looking at the 50s and Goldtop. The others look kinda cheap, but DAT GOLDTOP  For the price (especially used) I can't imagine finding a much better deal.

OTR120. It's an OR120/OD120 with a MV control, and exactly the same amp guts as a Matamp GREEN
