I like filter coffee black. French press with a good slurp of milk and espresso based stuff as a small latte. Crap coffee drunk purely in emergency caffeine situations should have heaps of milk and sugar to hide the crappines.

i dont trust most coffee to taste how i want it to when i dont make it myself, so i end up always using cream and sweet-n-low* when i am away from home.

those 'drink it black even though its bad always' motherfuckers can go die in a hole, i am not impressed

* it is hilarious i watch people cringe when i put sweet-n-low in anything

I go with a splash of Silk or So Nice non-dairy cream, and a spoonful or two of raw cane sugar. It all depends on the coffee. Some stay black, some turn a nice tan color like my woman.

COFFEE.

Where I work they have a Keurig machine and I've tried so many different K-cups. I just wanted to find a few that I could be stoked on, but only a handful were decent. Mom bought me a reusable filter for the Keurig so now I just grind my beans and take 'em to work. Obviously it's not my preferred method of brewing a cup of coffee, but at least I can drink my own.

Might have to get a French press just for work.

Yeah, unfortunately there's only one coffee pot here and it's usually in use with something like Tim's, Folger's, or some other random coffee. I made two cups with my Keurig filter and they were inconsistent. The beans are fairly old, but still better than the majority of K-cups.

I also think the keurig is a big ehhhh. If you need a quick fix, it can be okay - those times your are feeling super lazy. You can put whatever beans you want in it but it pours throw way too fast to truly get the full potential from a cup. The green mountain K-cups are very easy on the palate, but otherwise donutshop and all those wacked out flavors like french toast are freakin horrendously revolting- totally vom worthy.

I have been going to the cafe across the street from me and I get one free cup a week because I hook them up with soups and falafels from time to time. Pour over batch brewing!! Plus the espresso is killer!! and the ultimate plus the owners are super chill and friendly. It is a first name basis kind of place <3

Just picked up a 24 carat gold Bodum Press so %60 off RRP. So nice to have a French press again, hope it's a long long time before I drink filter coffee again.

keurig sucks! hate that shit.

i love my french press and as a plus it's one of the simplest/easiest ways of making coffee (i take mine with a little almond or soymilk and a bit of raw sugar) on tour. i brought mine with me and a small grinder and just made coffee whenever using hot water at a gas station or something - the best! i tried the french press travel mug but never really liked it very much as it only makes like 10oz of coffee at a time and is a pain in the ass for putting milk in it. i've also never completely fallen in love with the pour-over coffees i've had - they've always been really dark, too acidic and always make my almond/soymilk curdle.

The convenience is nice, but it is far from a great cup of coffee.
I have one for morning brews (aka before I really care about anything). It gets the job done.

When craving a really good cup I just go to a local coffee shop. Then the day is golden.
