I got this snare from my parents:
Hopefully it will be a step up from the crappy steel snare that came with my kit when I bought it from a friend.
I also got one of those Behringer Phase 90 clones. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited about it.
So, what gear you get for your respective holiday as gifts?

North Jersey IS a fog machine.
i got a Fairfield Circuitry Operator...i'm really looking forward to abusing my analog modulation and filters with it, and could find some feedback on/off applications as well of the sort i used to do with my Truly Beautiful Disaster where i'd tune a fuzz in the loop to a particular note i could cut in/out. it's a perfect example of a gift i wouldn't think to buy for myself, but which will add all kinds of coolness to my rig.
