Hey man, I adapted your Shakshuka recipe last night. I should have taken a picture, but I forgot to. Here's what I used:

1 1/2 yellow onions chopped
1/2 shallot minced
6 cloves garlic minced
4 medium sized tomatoes chopped and lightly crushed
1 hot pepper sliced into very thin rings (I actually forget what kind I used, some sort of narrow long darkish green with wrinkled skin)
fresh parsley finely chopped
1/2 pound thin cut steak, cut into narrow strips (I wanted to use lamb, but the grocery store I stopped at didn't carry it)
salt
fresh ground black pepper
red pepper flakes
cumin (I used very little of this)
paprika (I used very little of this)
3 eggs
olive oil
2 tbsp butter

Oh whoa that sounds just fantastic!!!!! Nice and spicy just like i like it! Plus I love steak. Did you cook the steak separately and then add it into the sauce?

Side note - I know I have been slacking with my food posts, but I have been "perfecting" some recipes so I do have more up my sleeve. Patience brothers.

Oil and butter in pan, cooked onions, garlic, and shallot halfway, added steak and browned, then added all other veges and seasonings, simmered, then added eggs just a few minutes before serving (broken after a minute so that they mix partially with the other ingredients)
