You know, we're all gonna die of something someday. Is it really such a big deal if we all go at once? Not like the human race is contributing much to the universe anyway. I mean, we can barely get our lazy asses off this planet into low orbit. Would anyone, even in our own galaxy miss us? I'm guessing not, especially if we're 'all alone' out here....
I think we have more to fear from ourselves than we do solar flares, mega-volcanoes, rogue asteroids, alien invasions, polar reversals, or the resurection (again) of an angry hebruit.
Just a thought.
Anyway, I don't want to seem ungrateful, so... HAPPY NOT DESTROYED DAY!!! I knew we could do it!
This.
In Australia there were people still nervous today when they knew it was still December 21st in America because of the time zone difference..
Anyway, feels good to be alive (just like every other day, ever).

I'd say understanding is coming to terms with the randomness and chaos of the universe, accepting the idea that perceived patterns may be nothing more than coincidental perceptions, and learning to use the rationality of your own, (ideally) unbiased perspective to make the best of it.
