Fuck man. REALLY GAS'ing for an Echo Dream, still, along with a Moog Ring Mod, neither of which I have money for. Having credit is SO not a good thing for me. I really don't want to charge anything. I've almost got my guitar paid off

Dude, this might sound weird, but don't do it. Fiscal responsibility is a great thing.

Yeah, I'm not gonna. I want to have that warm fuzzy feeling after I pay off my guitar, even if only for a few days, and my fiance would appreciate it too, and I can put more money into our apartment :!!!:

Seriously. Credit was devised by the devil.

Yeah I fucking hate it. The only reason I opened a line was so I could get the new guitar. I'm only about $400ish from paying it off, which in my eyes, is only a few pedals being sold to finish it off. I want to close the line after I'm done paying it off. Too much temptation.

Closing it would do more harm than good, for two reasons:

1. It would negatively affect your credit score, as your debt-to-credit ratio would drop.
2. It will not teach you any self-control, which is the hardest part of having an open line of credit, but also the most character building.

I was in deep to the tune of about $9K in 2006, paid my way down to 0 ...and six years later I am most of the way back there. Some of us never learn.

Ah I didn't realize that. Thanks for the heads up dude. I'll have to pay it down and then let it sit. It's the Bill Me Later thing through PayPal, so I don't have a physical card to lock away. But it is motivational to see my balance go down over time!

Yeah. I'll have to do that. My fiance has a card that she used in the past, she just locks it in her safe

I used to memorize my card numbers and info so I wouldn't need them to place orders for things (mostly CDs and records). Sick guy, right here.
