Fuck man, that black hardware on the natural. You could probably fill all the holes with wood filler/saw dust and wood glue and let it set, then redrill the holes!

It probably won't look anything like the one in the picture. The MIM Fenders are made out of what looks like up to 8 (eight!) different pieces of wood glued together. On the bursts, they put a very thin veneer on top. I doubt they do that on the solid color guitars. If you take yours out in the sun and hold it at the right angle, you can probably count how many pieces of wood make up the body.

I would plan on a solid color. That's exactly what I'm planning for my wife's P Bass Jr. For grain filler, primer, color, and clear, it looks like it will be around $60 from Reranch. She just needs to pick a color. :)

If you can find dowel rods that are a snug fit for the bigger holes that might be the way to go. Looks like your string-through holes are pretty in tact, and it only looks like the one tele bridge hole is kinda screwed up in the corner. But if you plugged with dowels, that's the most common way to plug holes on guitars as well. Probably even more sturdy than what I recommended before

DUUUUUDE TOTALLY DO ALPINE. He's cheaper than Warmoth in most cases and you could probably get him to route it/build it any way you want

For weird sized holes, I use wood glue and toothpicks...never had a problem :idk:

Alpine looks promising. There's also USA Custom, Mark Rutter, and Guitar Mill. If you want to do a hand-rubbed oil finish without mucking with sealing and grain filling see if there's some nicely figured alder available from one of those shops.

I have no clue. Hold it under sunlight, or under a super bright LED flashlight, and look across the surface of the guitar. You can usually see the join lines underneath.

My 93 Am. Std Strat appears to be a three piece. The 2004 MIM P Bass Jr I bought on Saturday looks to be have 5 pieces.

You'll just have to check. :)

You could fill the holes and sand it down then glue on a veneer top.

The back and sides would still be black which could look kinda cool
with the black hardware if that's your thing. :idk:

I won it, but he's totally cool with emails. I emailed him about the pickguard I got for it!

Wouldn't be a problem. Just get a P90 to Telecaster adapter, OR you could always get a pickguard that you can load the pickup into!
