Yah, fingerless gloves are the secret to great tone. It's all in the finger ... less.

Pretty cool.

Been thinking of getting a Spring Theory + RRR to cover all the reverb bases.

pretty much the only reason I have not bought one yet. i need to look into how much effort it would be to gank the active pickups/ electronics and replace them with passive components. because dang they play nice!

One pickup, passive -- easy peasy!

Very interesting information here:

Also, you can get one of these basses for about $225 new with free shipping from musician's friend until Monday if you use the coupon BLACKFRI.
SOON.

Hells yeah! I'd be interested in how that pickup sounds wired passively...passive...in passive. That way.
I had a MM-style pickup from GFS that just kinda sounded like a weak Jazz bridge pickup with the tone rolled off. I think that's because it was GFS though.

Well someone in that thread did say something about them being low-output and designed for pre-amps. I wonder if I could just have a pedal that attenuates the signal going into pedals, then disengage it as a clean boost

I've played around on a buddy's OLP which is totally passive. I was impressed how much it sounded like a Jazz bass, to be honest.

Have a guy possibly wanting to trade his cherry suburst tele deluxe for my '64 Gibson acoustic. Kind of mixed about it as I like the LG1, but I'm too afraid of ruining it and would really love a telecaster.
