Weirdly, even as an avowed atheist, I love Christmas. I love the lights, the gift exchanges, the nice smelling trees and the insane number of cookies my family bakes.

My wife's all excited, we got a tree this weekend and she had that shit lit and decorated in an hour flat.

Jesus, like 20 days away.


Normally I'd be more excited but I've been insanely busy with work, have to pay Car Rego/Insurance tomorrow, no holidays, massive dental Bill on the 29th. Also my Sister and Brother-In-Law are moving States next week so won't see them for Months. It's going to be pretty crap and low budget on my end.

In the past I went to massive present planning and spent more money than I should have and got a few shirts.

i hate the dark by five time change but love winter (though this one hasn't happened yet, freaking short sleeve weather & rain here), & i totally love giving my fam & friends i'm tight w/ presents. it rocks. i'm agnostic & am not a religious person whatsoever but dig the holiday for its excuse to do that. plus my mom IS a very religious person & she's happier than ever around this holiday, goes ballistic with very impressive decorating, plus she's a freaking amazing cook and feeds us (including this pescetarian) more awesome goodies than we can handle.

i do some decorating too, fake tree & lights. fun stuff. will rock the santa hat on the day, though i forgot to at the company's way too early party...
