I like playing synth / piano too, but it's not what I've been gravitating towards. I like the kinds of sounds I can get with synth, but the keyboard layout keeps making me think about music theory which isn't very helpful for the kind of ambient / texture sounds I want. Maybe I just need a feedback loop board....

I've played bass for eight years now (stand up and guitar), guitar for four, mandolin for three, and drums for one. I'm doing the most guitar playing right now, but bass will always be my main instrument.
mainly guitar. bass as an avocation; keyboards when necessary but not so much that i have any real skills. i love to play drums and am almost competent at it. i can pick up fretted stringed instruments easily because i've played in altered guitar tunings a lot; i used to play the mandolin before mine broke. i've played other stuff, but only the harmonica and melodica very well.

But yeah. I actually got my bachelors in MuEd. Minored in tuba and string bass. Got the low end covered. Was even a high school band director for two years.
Haven't played anything but bass in about five years, though.
