Our crappy Ibanez shop bass through a peavey ranger on the OD Channel. The ranger was only made for a couple years, they are kind of rare, but usually really cheap if you can find them. It's a guitar amp though, not a bass amp. I'm not sure it would work as part of a real bass rig.

would you ever consider making a pedal that was just the LFO, envelope and tap tempo, and it outputted CV to use with any pedal? kind of like a more full featured version of the copilot broadcast?

One of our initial ideas when we were in the idea phase of the dlx series, we considered making a simple pedal that contained the effect, and then other modular units that did nothing but produce the control voltage and modulation.

I suppose the basic idea is similar to devi ever's console, or the inventobox.

Drawing all of this up and looking at how it actually would have worked seemed like a mess though, especially if you wanted to use multiple units. I did like the idea that we could allow other companies to get in on the control unit end, or even let them make their own effects that used 0-5v control voltage.

The big advantage is that you could have routed an envelope follower separate from the effect, but it seriously looked like a mess. Originally I think the idea was three separate control boxes. one for envelope. One for LFO's, and another for LFO's with more features.

I think the idea you went with is much cleaner and efficient.

I think what i'm going to do to achieve that is to use a Prometheus DLX along with my current EMMA envelope follower.

Easy there, killer.

If Prymaxe sales were an effects pedal, they'd be an "always on" pedal.

Don't worry. Wait long enough and we'll see 16% off again.
