The quasar has a mix knob... How can it be too over the top?
I loved mine. It was the first more expensive pedal I ever got. For some reason I sold it. :/ I'll have to get another when I get in a phasery mood again.:D

Even with the mix knob it did have a tendency to not sound like any other phaser on the market. I like that about it—I love it—but I can't seem to dial in the traditional 'swish'. I really want to, but only because it's another sound to work with, not because it's the sound I require the most. I'm still very happy with it, though I have to get that weird bug with the speed knob fixed. I still have to message Brian about that.

What's up with the speed knob?
How I got a mxr kinda phasey sound was with the mix around 50 with the voice just a bit off center either way and then play with the freq until it sounded "right"

Oh, it's this weird fault with a chip or a part that causes an issue with the doubling/halving speed function. You know the way you can turn the speed knob all the way CW and then bring it back CCW and either half or double the speed? Well, mine doesn't do that unless you unplug the unit's power and plug it back in again. It stays within the original speed range. You can go to the super fast and visa versa, but you have to unplug the unit and fiddle with it for it to work again. I think you have to mess with the tap-tempo switch as well. Apparently it happened to a small batch of Quasar DLX's. This is what Brian told me anyway. He said the part is socketed, so it's easily replaceable.

We had a batch of micro-controllers a while back where maybe one in four had an issue with one of the input pins. For the most part micro-controllers do whatever you tell them to, and it either works or it completely fails.

We caught most of them, but it wasn't a potential problem we were expecting, and the ones that slipped out seemed to be intermittent.

We got an email about this from someone this morning. We'll reply later today. I'm working to get sean to take over most of the support emails so I'll get with him later this morning.

want... no... need it.

Hope it won't be more than 300$ but I have a bad feeling (there's is so much control in there).

They are $379... As i mentioned in a previous post, we originally were shooting for the same price and footprint as the other DLX pedals, but it just felt like a compromise.

I totaly understand Brian.
I'm sure it worth the price.

Just notice it's available now. :joy:

Sometimes I wish I had purchased the Prometheus DLX before the price change.... but I understand that too.
