Delays with warp, feedback, crazy etc... Switch!

Post by nieh »

Sold Gold Electroman

Freakshow Digilog

DMB Lunar Echo

Wondernoise Richochet Delay

EA AD####

any I'm missing? I'm most interested in the electro man (fx loop) but I'm not sure yet. thoughts?

Officer Bukowski makes a pretty sweet sounding delay with a momentary oscillation switch. I'm planning on getting one sometime soon.

I put a clean blend/mix control on mine so when you hit the oscillation switch it doesn't spike in volume aaaaas much. I'd really like to figure out an auto-ducking feature that when you hit the oscillation switch it can roll the volume down or something...

Yep.
I prefer using and expression pedal to control the feedback knob.

What would be ideal for a feedback switch would be to have a volume and filter knob in series.

Yeah. I wonder how you could wire it up? Cause essentially you'd be cranking the feedback knob or making a feedback loop in the pedal so that would have to engage with the switch, and then you'd also have to have the volume and filter knobs engage or be switched to at the same time.... Hmmmm

A limiter at the end of the signal chain could fix this, perhaps?

I added a filter to mine and when you set the filter in the middle it takes probly like 15 or 20 seconds for the repeats to get too loud. It's not a filter after the circuit, it's in the feedback section so setting the filter a certain way alters how the repeats degrade over time (which affects the time it takes for the volume to increase during oscillation).

I dunno maybe ask Stripes how that's working out for her she's got the delay with the filter

But if you wanna talk to me about it PM me or hit me up in my shark tank. I don't wanna talk about it in this forum because it feels spammy

Love the Lunar Echo. It does the more straight up analog delay sound really really well, you can get into tape delay territory with the lo-fi mode and modulation. And the momentary feedback is glorious.

Another one that's of interest is the Sitori Sonics Tapeworm. It has the crazy aliens are invading stuff on a non-momentary footswitch. I still kinda want one of those, but I love delay.

One that doesn't get near the attentionit should is the deluxe memory man with tap tempo. Fx loop, tap tempo/oscillation switch (tap for tempo, hold down for feedback) and modulation. It's a fantastic delay machine. I talked to my local ehx dealer and he got me a new one for $318 :yay:
