i feel a little guilty if it's custom stuff. like i'm spitting in the face of the person that built it. so i don't sell custom stuff if there's any chance i'll ever use it.

but i've never sold anything that i missed that couldn't be replaced. i've had stuff STOLEN that i would fuck the person to death wearing a condom made out of the skin of everybody they ever loved if i found them.

I have fuzzguilt right now because I have spent $634 on phasers over the last week.

I also have bassguilt because I recently sold a bass from a builder I know, and he's a very cool individual.

I still have some rage about my stolen MIJ white anniversary telecaster.

But on topic, no one should have to keep a pedal (out of guilt) if it's fallen out of favor, or isn't being used enough to justify it, or if you need the money. Gear needs change. I'm never bothered or offended in the least when I see my pedals up for sale; I've been in the exact same position.

I do get being bummed when I think I'm really going to use something and I don't end up using it much...that's happened every time I've bought a 2nd acoustic.

I hate selling gear, but I know it'll make someone happy. The person that buys it might sell it in a week. The person that buys it might store it for six years and finally sell it to fix his car. That's fine. The person who buys it next might make it their main instrument for the next 25 years.

I think his name finally came up on the Toneczar list.

On topic, I hate selling gear, especially when I sell it to aggressively supplement my income. Selling pedals for other pedals? Not so much.

I never have guilt selling things as far as insulting the builder/modder. The only time I get guilt is when I'm selling something that was a gift.

Yep. That and I bought a Faye Sing which I'm returning, nice but not thick enough in the mud for me. EDIT: Now thinking of keeping the Faye Sing and mess with it more first!

Earthquaker Grand Orbiter is still the king of bass phasers for my needs, we'll see if the 2.33333x more expensive Halophaze can keep up. :omg:

Second best phaser I've used over the many years is an MXR Phase 100 that I spent... $0 on. DAMN YOUS LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS.

I sold my snazzy fx mini ark 3 days after I got it (used) because I needed to pay a light bill. I plugged into it once. I sold it for About $275 and saw it on ebay a few weeks later when I hsad money again for almost $500. I am such a dumb ass for selling that thing. I want another so bad.

Yeah, dude. I feel strange flipping gear sometimes, especially if I traded for it, but I hang on to some (probably too much) gear because it's from another good builder.
