Baritone Jazzmaster Project (any suggestions?)

Post by karmablock »

So I've been itching for a project lately and I thought I'd take on my first guitar. I already have the body now I'm looking for a neck.
I know warmoth has both finished and unfinished but has anyone ever heard of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/160914243516?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649?

I'd been looking at those when I made my baritone Jazzmaster. I ended up going with an unfinished Warmoth neck because I could choose the frets that went in, and I bought tuners while placing my order as well.

Those necks on Ebay look pretty decent though, and its nice that they already have a thin coat of finish on them. I really did enjoy oiling my neck, however, it was a great intro experience to luthiering.

I think I'm going to go with Warmoth neck.

Anyone have tips on painting?
What's the best place to get parts?

Oy!
I've got one - finished, I'd sell you for $150.

for the record, those dc kunkle necks on ebay are great. I built a baritone tele a bit ago, and was super pleased with the neck I got form him off ebay.
