According to the analysis section I'm actually pretty close to this guy;

Your point? There's no liberal party in America and if you think the democrats are liberal you should be smacked with a dildo.

I'll agree democrats are no socialists. And most prominent democrats are relatively moderate.

Indeed, the US is a very conservative democracy in comparison to many other democracies, especially in Europe. You would never know it if you asked the average American though.
To be fair though, moderate democrats are becoming a thing of the past. (Enter political science major mode.) Most are getting sweeped out of their seats after 2010. They really only get elected in conservative areas, which have taken a turn for more conservative republicans. So really we are getting more extreme democrats and republicans both.

Personally I think it is interesting how close most of us on ILF are politically. It isn't a surprise necessarily, but I would have expected more centrists.

I think we're all pretty centrist in the grand scheme of things... which means we're left-leaning by general american standards (no offense implied to our international bretheren).

That's a pretty good point. Although it's really hard to say without actually knowing what it's like in a more liberal place. :idk:

I agree ... I still see the most democrats as moderate... or left swinging but not the way I wish.. but as a realist I understand that to play the game one must be a corporate whore to some extent... :animal:

I was wondering whether the red quadrant was even possible.

Is it because it's me? As apposed to someone else or it's not what you expected from me based on what you know/think of me?

Also now that I've done a little looking into what the red zone is, I feel bad. Also that my political views are kinda whack. Both my parents are democrats, my mom is a social worker/teacher hippy and dad works with ex-cons, so I've experienced some things others haven't and mixing all of those experiences together makes my views different than most.

I want the death penalty and gay marriage.

That pretty much sums up my political views, and I'm seventeen, so, I'm still figuring out where I stand on a lot of things.

Lol no take it easy. I was just wondering if the questions could even be answered in a way that would result in those coordinates, since no one had, yet, and it's an imperfect test. That doesn't mean anything is wrong with having those views. I'm not in a popular area, either. Plus, I don't know anything about you. Also, individuality is something to be proud of.
