Re: Let's see your BASS!
Nice! Love seeing T-40s, especially with that finish. I just never really used the bridge pickup in mine. Also I clipped the coil tappy wires off so it was always a humbucker and with the flatwounds vol/tone were always on ten so I just got it all out of the way. I guess it's way less versatile now, but it's got the sound I liked most all the time. Also maybe a fraction of a pound lighter

Re: Let's see your BASS!
with the tone on 10 the pickups were tapped and single coil. you have to roll the tone back to 7ish to get humbucker. My 2 little switches are for the coil tapping, 99% of the time neck is humbucker and bridge is single coil.

First mod I did after realizing I never put the tone knobs above 7 was get rid of the coil taps.

Thanks!!
After 12 years I finally found a reliable source for decent strings for this bass. Check out Circle K Strings if you haven't yet.

Had this bass a while but electronics were spotty. I finally had the money to fix her up.

Guh so awesome. Did you rout it for the J bass pickup at the bottom?
250's are the only other bass I'd be after now a days. I'd love a fretted 250 to match my 450 fretlesssss

The previous owner did it. I'm glad he did the stock pickup is nice but I like the added bite of the bridge pickup.

Agreed! My favorite setting with my 450 is in the middle with the tone rolled all the way off on the neck and all the way up on the bridge. Soooo good
