I don't have the problem. Maybe it's the strap. I also sling mine pretty low, so maybe it's tilted up higher.

I haven't done anything yet, but I have plans to change out the plastic nut for bone, upgrade the tuners, put a Bigsby B7 on it, and change the pickups. I keep going back and forth between humbucker-sized P90s and some kind of PAF-style humbuckers.

1972 SG...I'm a lucky boy/Grandson.
Originally, I did nothing. Now it has had a pickup swap- P90 in the neck and Swineshead Warthog in the bridge.

Yeah, the dude who made them just randomly dissapeared. They're pretty cool pickups, but I'm thinking of replacing them with some handwound WRH clones. Sweetness.

I've got an 80's SG Standard and left it pretty stock. It's my daily driver and favorite guitar ever.

My little brother dropped a glass coke bottle on it, once, leading to a cool finish blemish on one of the horns. (Looks like a tiny spider made a tiny web there.)

Also I put snail stickers on my pickguard. Oh, and it's got straplocks because dropping SGs is easy.

Does this help? :idk:

I broke the headstock on my Epi SG G400. So while regluing and bolting the headstock back on using the Willie Nelson method; I took out the neck pup along with vol and tone pots and filled it in, so now it runs all bridge pup. Putting a Lace NitroHemi pup in it this week. Pics to follow.
Epiphone SG-G400->Epiphone Les Paul Standard->Dunlop Crybaby Wah->NYC Big Muff Pi->Fulltone OCD Overdrive->Morley ABY Pedal->Sunn Beta Lead 2x12->Egnater Modded Tweaker "Creature"->Custom 2x12 Cab w/ Eminence "The Wizard" Speakers.

Chop it down.
