If it's more balls you seek, buy yourself an Emperor and call it a day.
I replaced an Orange 4x12 with my first Emperor 2x12 for just that reason. Those fuckers sound HUGE and don't weigh a shit ton. Oh, and regardless of all the custom options and speaker choices, they still come in less expensive than most decent new cabs unless you get silly with it. So there's that too.....

hmmmm, tempting!! But to send it to Belgium is too expensive... So I just wonder about the framus right now... ;-)

You might be able to get someone to build you a cabinet similar to the Emperor stuff. Obviously you don't want to just clone them and try to pass it off as an Emperor cab. But you also might be missing some of what makes the Emperor cabs so awesome if you don't follow some of the details about how they're constructed.
Maybe there's a business opportunity here to build really awesome, super-loud, road-tested speaker cabs for the European market.

Searching for that new sound.
If you can read this, then I'm back?

Hey, almost forgot, but these guys are already on it. Sick looking cabs, pretty much Emperor-style clones for the Euro crowd. Think they're in the UK, one of the guys is a regular in the HCFX Doom Room, solid chap. Not sure how I feel about copying such a uniquely original cab as Emperor but they won't ship int'l so whaddya gonna do.....
mathias wrote:Yeah, I'd prefer they had their own take on the construction that set them apart, or at least made them look different.
That said, their logo isn't as cool as Emperor's.
And it helps that the guys at Emperor are awesome.
Yes. Yes. and YES!
Also, look what I just got from the UPS man! Gonna get to hooking this little guy up and cranking it awhile before my girl and our son arrive home and rain on my NAD. We have some kinda dinner to attend this evening and I wanna get out of it soooooooo goddamn bad!
skullservant wrote:And I bet that having both of them on the 15w settings you'd be more than okay using it in a full band situation, especially stereo!
Definitely! That's my plan honestly, those two heads (both get really goddamn loud at 15W!) plus two Emperor vert 2x12s. My first foray into a stereo setup so I'm starting small haha. Needed a good "at home" option too so they fill that role pretty well. At 7W that is...
