tinfoil fuse idea/problem

So yesterday I got a new amp guyatone reverb jazz took it home, fuse blew. I've been trying to find a fuse that will fit but I cant its just a little less than 3cm long 2.5amp slo-blo. I was wondering if it would be mostly safe to use tinfoil to lengthen the 2cm euro fuse that I bought and use one of the ends off the 1 1/4" fuse to put on top of the tinfoil? thanks

no if the fuse blew because of a problem in the amp, tinfoil will insure you burn it up.

it's a US size fuse you may just have to order some.
