I reassembled my Jag tonight, sanded the pickups a little to get the funk off and shine them, and put 12's on it. I'm in love all over again.

Thanks dude. I really like it. Its kind of nice that it isn't traditional or have a floating trem or all the little standard Jag switches. PRIMITIVE JAGUAR

did sanding off the pickups improve your upper harmonics?

They really should have. Fucking caveman style. Been thinking of even knocking off the tone knob and possibly the volume knob cause I really don't use them

Not that I've noticed, but I didn't get a chance to play it much last night. The guitar sounds like a fucking beast with these thicker strings though, that's for sure.

Nice!!! That's a fun as hell tuning, I've got another jag coming in next week that will go between BEADGB and AEADGB, for da heavies!!! All I need to find now is a 30" black jag bass vi if they exsist, then i can have all the jag scale lengths in black :yay: 24" 27" 30" and 34"

Did you get the Bari Jag??

The DO make Jaguar Bass VI's, but they are Fender Custom shop and cost $3000+....

http://www.themusiczoo.com/product/5240 ... tar-Black/

BUT. You could always possibly get a Warmoth Bass VI neck and move the bridge down on a standard Jaguar body!
