No problem duder. I took the Muff apart when I got it in the mail the other day just to assess what kind of bypassing I'll need to do, and as I figured I'll be swaping the DPDT for a 3DPT and then go from there. I did it on my Black Russian when I had it, not hard at all. The wire that Sovtek used back then was complete shit and so brittle.

Well I wouldn't call it dark but I wouldn't say it's particularly bright either. Most people say they get them to cut through fine with a band because they're so bright.. Mine doesn't cut through worth shit no matter how loud I turn it up (unless I turn my guitar's volume down) but it sounds reeeeeally sweet for bedroom/studio action.

Here's kindof a silly question.. To add the values of caps together you wire them in parallel right?

I think with some settings like you said it would be impossible. But with the large output cap there is SO much volume on tap it almost hurts which is AWESOME. I think I have it on about 9 o'clock for unity or something crazy stupid like that. I never brought it past 2 o'clock.

And yeah dude! Parallel FTW! It's the super easy way of modding shit without desoldering

Mine is unity at like 8:45. It gets LOUD but it has this magical way of disappearing no matter how painfully loud it is.

It will hurt your ears then the rest of the band plays and it's completely gone. It's pretty weird

I guess but I use a stock black Muff in my band all the time and it works out fine. It's one of those things that just makes no sense to me but I accept it anyways haha

Also.. FACKK! Just built like the 3rd thing in a row that didn't work after a beautiful streak of everything being awesome the first time. It's driving me crazy. I guess god just doesn't want me to have a Tube Screamer :picard:

If god wanted you to have a Tube screamer he would have already given you a poncho and music note guitar strap!

Some new boxes. I was working out of town a lot this year. Really depressing to not build anything during that time.
Been home for a month and it's been nice getting being able to make some shit. You guys have been slaying it here. Tons of killer looking work going on. Glad to be back with ya guys...

Big Cheese / RG's Great Cheddar. Layout and PNP transfer at geofx. Fuzz face type of circuit with in/out buffer and and a rotary switch for 4 different tone setting. Sounds real Fucking good. Haven't been able to test it much yet. One thing is that it needs a touch more volume output. Great tones, though. Very fat and fuzzy and articulate sounding. Make one!

I made this one over a year ago but didn't like the colors that I added to the etching. Looked like some bubble gum shit. Stripped it and went black. Board from Madbean, sounds fucking great.

Here some more...

Madbean's Low RIder (Pearl Octaver). This is probably my favorite out of the bunch. 4 controls, clean volume, octave up vol, octave down vol, and 2 octave down volume. Don't care for the octave up too much. Being able to blend all four of these channels independently is really cool. Sounds great with some fuzz pumped through it. Has lots of volume, as well. I think I will be using this one often.

Craig Anderton Ring Mod. Board from Montreal Assembly. I had made one of these before but decided to add a bunch of extra options for myself since I want to use this more. Fucking killer sounding pedal with an effects loop. One thing I don't like is trying to find the same spot on the frequency knob so have a couple of toggles to switch between the frequency on a pot and two set frequencies set by trimmers. There's a low pass switch and switch that let's me select between two input resistors. Sounds good by itself but much better when you have stuff in the effects loop.

Now I gotta finish my Warhead Vibe and my Harmonic Percolator and then a Honeydripper and then the Ludwig Phase II. Never ends....

HAWT STUFF! That octaver is particularly tasty...
