Didn't wanna open a new thread.

Sooo, this band. I worked on the 2nd EP and I hate it. The bass sound has been butchered (cuz the lead guy in the band "KNOWS EVERYTHING") and the bass has been cut really badly in production, sounds sucky as fuck. Anyway, I don't like working with the main guy, but the drummer and 2nd guitar are awesome and fun, hell idk. :/

Think it's not worth it, I'm not feeling the new music as much I was feelin' the first EP (that made me join the band in the first place).
Thoughts?

My theory is if it isn't fun then quit, how you go about that is tricky, at least to me I have a show Saturday and then I'm letting them know I can no longer afford to spen time and money on the project because I'm not enjoying it as much as the time and gas expense requires, it will be better if they find someone as into it a they are.

There's four of us, and we all kinda work on the songs, each his instrument, even tho, the main guy really just wants a band that will read his mind and make something perfect out of it; that being the main problem. The 2nd EP was forced as hell and you can even hear it. The songs don't make musical sense at all.

I'll call the 2nd guitarist tomorrow and I'll see where I go from there.

It's an instrumental band :P But he does his part too, he made all the guitar riffs for 2 of 4 songs on the 2ndEP, if that's where you were going.

But yeah, that's done. Just talked to them and it's cool (at least they sounded like it over the phone  ).

Well I thought I would update. I did it, I quit the band and it wasn't as awkward as i was afraid of. The singer said he understood and was cooler about it than his previous actions made me think he would. I havent heard from the drummer but i don't really mind. The funniest thing is on the way from a show me and the bass player carpooled to an out of town show and we both admitted that we were thinking of quitting after the show. Now I am gonna play guitar for his funk/jam project and he offered to lay down some bass for my solo project which is still in its infancy but its cool to have a rhythm section on board. Now I just have to learn some funk and finish my concept album.
TL;DR: everything went better than expected.
