I don't know which I like more, John Lyons, your builds or your photography.

Is that one entitled A Portrait of the Pedal as a Young Man?

Umm, not done but I just wanted to share that an enclosure post electro-etching looks COOL AS FUCK. I should have just left it like this. But anyway...

Here's what it's sanded down to so far:
Image

Could have been deeper, but I don't have a laser printer so I had to use lots of Sharpie as the resist; it was eaten away. This is the fourth attempt and I ran out of copper sulfate (it's just warm water + salt + copper sulfate + battery charger) so this is as good as it's gonna get. For the first etching that actually turned out, it's okay.
I'm either going to add a little something to it or really fuck it up, undecided right now. Probably the latter.
It's a super Echo Base, two loops 'n momentaries 'n such.

:thumb: I believe nail polish remover will work really well as a resist, as well as any heavy body acrylic paint. Sharpie can go very quickly unless you're doing a long, very controlled and weak etch. Electro etching is crazy awesome - here soon I'll have my own rig up and running. HUZZAH!

Ohhh, nail polish remover would be good. Mmm...I kinda wanna get more supplies and try it again with that.
Is all of your stuff electro etched? Looks really really good.

Decided to try to expand my repertoire with some PTP work

Image

Image

PNP Rangemaster - Old skool circuit with no mods other than a pulldown resistor for true bypass and power filter cap (+ ground wired to run on a standard PS). Went through the parts bin and used some of the cooler old skool components I had and just to be ridiculous I used Evidence Audio IGL Copper for the bypass wiring.

I definitely plan on doing some more PTP work, it was pretty fun.
