$20, huh?

Hey, what do I do about this? Wood glue and clamp? Apart from this and a small crack near an F-hole it's in good condition.

Also, I made my dad the super cigar box baritone for today. I'm really glad everything worked out.
There's a built-in smokey amp powering the speaker, but it can be plugged into an amp as well. Sounds cool as fuck.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
+1 for that Harmony archtop. I have one of those too. Great guitar. And that cigar box baritone looks killer!
I had a few minutes to kill out running around earlier and stumbled upon this little guy:

I was prepared for it to be awful, but damn if it doesn't sound and play G R E A T ! The P-90 has a ton of bite and gets really nice and chimey. The neck is straight as an arrow with hardly any buzz (set neck too) and no dead spots. Played it some more through my amp when I got home and am very happy with the purchase. (For the price, we should all be bumpin' these!)

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Thanks doods. I threw some .13s on it, tuned it to A standard and it is AWESOME. Most comfortable guitar I've played and I can even do chords on it without my fingertips making everything go into sitar mode. Which I appreciate, just not all the time...
Those Arbor guys need a new site, but I kinda like that one weird Strat. I REALLY like the simplicity of your guitar. Plus, pink.
Single pickups are nice.

It's a custom?????
Detalis details
Not custom to my knowledge. It's an '82. Had it since I was 16. I think the pick guard is common to that era (maybe even specifically that year). The neck is unlike any other SG I've ever played (much thinner), which is why I can't hang with current SGs at all. Hate the feel of those new necks. It's a bit heavier than the new ones too, which I like. The finish is weird. IMPOSSIBLE to clean. Every polish, etc. I've tried just clouds it, so now it's coated in 14 years worth of my filth. haha.
Have you tried Pledge?
Nope. I've given up on it. haha. Don't really care much honestly. Never gonna sell her, so as long as it works.
Your days of plenty are numbered.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I just realized that I don't think I've ever posted any pictures of my bastard guitar, Sloth. (Snips just accidentally named it for me.)
I've had this thing for a while, and I think I've only ever mentioned it a couple times. It's all hand assembled, and the neck was modified by myself years ago.
I'll try to explain everything in each pic.

Body is from an old Squier Texas or something. Pickups and pickguard are also from that guitar, though they've all seen a lot of modification. There's only one switch, in off position, it runs the two pickups as one humbucker (and does so poorly, which is cool), in on position, it's just the neck pup. Holes and weird damage are all over the pickguard from various stupid things I did to my first couple guitars as a kid. The hole in it is from when I drilled a hole into the body of another guitar to jam a non working switch into the body for a joke. The hole is only on the pickguard. The wires on top are partly for grounding, and partly because there's something blocking the internal holes to move wires to the jack and ground to the bridge. I lost one of the saddles somehow.

Another angle of the body, shows the paint and open holes in the pickguard a little more. I love that you can see the wires on the inside.

Closeup of the fretboard. I pulled the frets with a pocket knife and filled them with wood putty. I sanded the shit out of the neck for about 2 days, and the sustain is really surprising for a hand made neck like that. Five strings, the top two are actually only a half step apart, because dissonance is awesome.

The bridge is blocked with a piece of a headstock from another neck I "modded". It's actually the stock neck (which I chopped the fender swoop off of, making it a weird arrowhead, and I scalloped it with a drill, which fucked up the fret height, an issue I have yet to fix. Again, that's not the neck that's on it now.) On the left, I'm pointing at a piece of perfboard from an amp I built in high school, which I'm using to shim the neck joint.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Basically, yeah, that's exactly what it is.
Sloth is my beautiful bastard of a guitar. I need to get more play time with him in a band setting. Kind of hard to get him to play with others because of the setup, though.
