I'd also suggest finding a drug/alcohol counselor or better yet psychologist.

My new wife has been sober for almost 5 years and I have been sober for most of my adult life (my addiction was sugar and pussy
Having the will power to quit any substance is hard difficult and sometimes a life long process. If you talked too my wife about drinking she would say that she is still and addict and will be for the rest of her life. When I first heard that it made a profound impact on me. I would say that I am her sponsor now and when times are hard/stressed I am there to be her support when she wants too drink.
Seek out your friends both in real life and on the internet. I don't care if they are people who you may never see in physical forum, a friendship is all about communication. We are lucky enough to have built a community of VERY cool people here from all different walks of life with a common love of music.
If you have the determination to go the distance and clean up you are going to do it. However use any means of support and help from your friends too help you get there. Makes the journey that easier.
