no, i dig him. he's more interesting than a good deal of guitarists out there and isn't really indulgent unless he goes "hey, that sounds weird" first. and he seems like an all around pretty righteous dude.

i like Vai! Seen his "Where The Wild Things Are" DVD and was blown away... surrounds himself with awesome musicians as well and yeah - worked with Zappa
Satch on the other hand... has some cool tunes (very few) but his DVDs are an absolute borefest. Also his tone is kinda mediocre to me and he doesn't have such... wide vocab as Vai does
