this is one of those instances where I'm really more surprised that someone was still alive to begin with rather than sad.

He got the big payout for renewing the rates for F451 before he died, so /win for the guy while he was still alive.

i never much liked his prose style, but his plots were some of the best ever in "traditional sci fi." and his short stories could be quite lovely .well done, sir...rest in peace.

Ray was a good guy. I will miss his posts and books. He was a regular forum poster for awhile there on a book forum I used to belong to. Good man. At least he lived that long though! I hope I live half that!
