My name's Jeremy, aka Charmless on HCFX, TGP, a few other forums.
Play in a couple of bands (Charmless, Truxton). Total pedal geek (esp Korg PME40x stuff) and amp nerd (esp brit stuff: Carlsbro, Kelly, Hiwatt, Burman, HH, etc).
Alright, gonna take the time to introduce myself while there is a lull at work.
I have been playing guitar for awhile now, and never really taken the time to put together a good pedalboard. Usually I would use a pedal or two, a chorus or something similar, just depending on what we were playing. The upside being, that I built a decent collection of pedals over the years. Nothing too exciting, but am putting together what will hopefully be a pretty flexible board that will also let me create some fun noise! The one thing I never really played around with much was fuzz, which lead me to here. I've enjoyed lurking and reading, and figured I might as well join in the fun! I'll post a picture of my board as it currently stands after work.
As you can tell by my creative username, my name is Jake. I have been lurking here for about 2 to 3 months but have decided to join in order to relieve some GAS and talk about pedals. I love the builders here, I have already have a SS/BS fuck overdrive and a Laura Bennett painted algal bloom and hope to add some Dr. Scientist soon. As for musical taste, I am into post-rock, shoegaze, and indie rock/pop. So yeah, hello everybody.
Hey all I am new to the forum and figured I'd give you some info about me and of course the lowdown on my current rig.
I'm almost 27 years old, been playing guitar since I was 5. I also do songwriting, sing, and have studied percussion performance (so I can play kit, marching, orchestral, and world percussion instruments). I'm well versed in all styles from classical, jazz, funk, fusion, motown, rock, r n b, blues, country, surf, rockabilly, etc.
I guess the project I'm doing now would be classified as psychedelic indie-folk with a hint of my rock and blues roots shining through. I'm in the process of setting up a youtube channel and all that stuff so in due time you will hear/see our music.
Currently my weapons of destruction are (I setup all my guitars): PRS Santana SE emerald green (bone nut, gold speed knobs, upgraded pots/electronics, lollar cream p90 in a humbucker rout pickups) Fender MIM Telecaster 3 tone sunburst maple fingerboard (Lindy Fralin 2% over neck, Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Strat in the middle, Lindy Fralin Blues Special in the bridge, bone nut, upgraded pots/electronics, reversed control panel concentric master vol/tone pot up front, middle pickup blend pot, 5 way selector -neck only, neck and middle, all 3, bridge and middle, bridge only-) Xaviere XV-550 goldtop (bone nut, Lindy Fralin Pure PAF's zebra coils, upgraded pots/electronics) DiPinto Galaxie 4 in seafoam green (bone nut) Italia Rimini 12 string in black (bone nut strung like a vintage rick roots then octaves) Epiphone Masterbilt AJ500RE in natural satin (solid sitka spruce/solid rosewood, bone nut and bone saddle, EMG piezo undersaddle pickup/preamp system) Epiphone Inspired by 1964 Texan in Cherry Sunburst (solid sitka spruce/solid mahogany, bone nut and bone saddle, came loaded with the Ghost nanoflex system) Epiphone EJ200 in vintage sunburst (spruce top/maple back and sides, bone nut and bone saddle, LR Baggs I beam system)
Currently I'm using DR Rare Phosphor Bronze Bluegrass gauge strings (12-56) on my acoustics and DR Pure Blues in 12-52 on my electrics. My electrics are all tuned to standard tuning. My EJ200 is in Open D, my Masterbilt is in Open G, and my Texan is in standard tuning. I use Dunlop Ultex .60 mm picks, assorted glass slides, an Ebow, and kyser capos. Cables are all Mogami gold series wire with black neutrik ends, pedalboard uses George L's.
My amp is an Egnater Tweaker 15 watt head and it's running to an Egnater 2x12" cabinet. I have switched out the stock tubes to Mullard RI, Tung-Sol RI, JJ ECC803S PI, JJ 6CA7. My cabinet has Weber 50 watt, pre-rola doped, 16 ohm Blue Dog and Silver Bell speakers (weber broke them in for me). I use two Heil PR-30B mics to capture my guitar amp (one on each speaker this way I can blend the two voices to taste).
And now the moment you've all been waiting for my current pedalboard(s): Pedalboard Left (I call it my "traditional" board): Wampler Ego Compressor Fulltone '69 mk II germanium fuzz DMB Pedals Custom Shop Dual Drive (4 knob stellar drive into a 4 knob lexi drive) all in a cool teal sparkle enclosure with cream knobs EHX Ravish Sitar Hardwire Tremolo/Rotary TC Electronics Corona Chorus TC Electronics Hall of Fame Reverb TC Electronics Flashback Delay Digitech Jam Man Solo Looper (with 16gb card)
Pedalboard Right (I call it the expression board): Dunlop Volume Pedal (the cool new one with steel band) Dunlop Joe Bonomassa signature crybaby wah Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe 2 Expression Pedal (to use with rainbow machine/ravish sitar) Earthquaker Devices Organizer Earthquaker Devices Rainbow Machine TC Electronics Polytune
I use Voodoo Lab power supplies for my pedals.
Anything else you want to know just ask, I'm glad to be here and can't wait to bask in my pedal obsessions.

Hey, I <3 fuzz seem pretty interesting right now. I'm usually on OSG and I've spent too much time there and made too many post, but still interesting there. Just thought I'll join here for a change.
I'm from the UK, Essex to be honest but now I'm currently living in Ottawa Canada. I've been about 6 weeks or so.
My current setup is;
'89 AM Tele > TC Polytune > Wah huge Red llama > Beltone AP-14
or I'll use my squire jag bass if I need to play bass.
I'm a diy'rerr I like to build pedals on my breadboard... but the never seem to get built into an enclosure, oneday though
There is but one rule: Don't be an asshole. And that this rule implies.
You will find we are usually a jolly bunch of freaks, with lots of strong characters and weird folk thrown into the mix! Good to have you on board, now go forth and frolick!
Heya, I registered yesterday after making a few forays into this forum. I think this place is more in step with my interests than other forums I"ve bumped into so far. I'm from New Zealand and these days the stuff I play is pretty much drone and noise-based. Gear-wise, my preference is for vintage NZ gear, though in practice alot of my guitars and basses are vintage Japanese stuff which I also love. Alot of the pedals in my band are made by a NZ effects outfit called Magnetic Fields. I have about 3 in my chain but the other guitarist in my main band has a chain made up almost entirely of prototypes that I wouldn't have a clue what they do. Anyhoo, I'm here cause I like reading about and talking about gear, particularly the old stuff and stuff that people are making noise with. Cheers.
