so, i talked about this in the Coming and Going thread, mine has bit of a volume and a slight tone drop when clicked on. and if the bugger's unplugged, clean signal passes through fine, dead silent. when you plug in the power there's a slight hiss.

but i get the feeling there's something wrong with mine. i talked to Josh at Malekko and he said that didn't sound right, i'm going to ask the guys at Prymaxe to plug one in, see if they can duplicate the problems i'm having, and if not swap it out.

but yeah. i LIKE this thing. i'm also surprised there's so much GOOD in such a small box. giggety.

I'm really torn now, though. I know I'm getting the Timeline, which does some lo-fi goodness, but then there's this and the Frantabit. This is easy as hell to dial in, but the Frantabit is much more versatile... sheeeeeeeeit.

Musers - the TL LoFi setting gets similar.... the Bit feels a little thicker and not as polite? like, the TL's kinda gets abrasively harsh (in not a good way) if you push it into the more angry sounds the Bit does. but yeah, they're close. i like being able to use some of the other awesome delay types with a reduced signal though.

HakiWaki - it's. fucking. ADORABLE!!

One Armed Buko - yah. there's s'posed to be a trimpot insife for volume, i see something that MIGHT be one, waiting on word back before i mess with stuff. if there's no buzz when powered and no volume drop, i wouldn't mind a LITTLE tonal change when it comes on. it still lets a LOT of low end come through, doesn't emaciate the bass like some pedz do. but with the mix pure clean there's a noticeable tone and volume difference when clicked on. i know 2 or 3 other bassy dooders that shpupd have theirs in the next day or two, hoping HARD that mine's's's's is a fluke.

FWIW, I have had zero luck approximating that sound on the FrantaBit. I got mine today (Malekko Bit) and it's virtually identical in sound profile to the BugBrand units. And it's TINY. Uhhmmm.....buy one?

nope. as long as the string noise is muted, nothing bleeds through. USEFUL.
