That's my biggest concern too. Do you know if the Japanese trem needed any additional drilling? or did it just fit right on?

Does it stay in tune with the stock tuners as well? That was my other main question. Dont know if I want to bother trying to put a set of locking tuners on it. Or will the locking trem help that?

I have no idea about the trem, dude. I was very happy to not have to do that part. :p

It stays in tune fine, dude...I've had no issues. If you have problems, I would suggest just some nice vintage style tuners - locking tuners suck in my experience.

and it's not locking like a Floyd Rose or anything - all it really does is keep you in tune if you break a string. You can definitely abuse the shit out of the whammy and go out of tune. It's trial and error to see how much you can get away with.
Maybe partying will help.

Yeah. I'm not sure I'll be using the trem much, but I always try to prepare for the worst haha
I should be getting it any day now, I'll let you know how it plays!

My guitarist has a really early one of those [in all black], it came with one of the oddest pickup combos ever which was 4 mini [strat pickup iszed] humbuckers... we ended up pulling all that crap out and putting in a Rio Grande pickups with a Bastard [P90 in bucker size] in the neck :thumb: They are cool guitars with the right pickups almost right in the middle between a LP and a start

I'm not usually a fan of zebra buckers, but they look slick with that whole aesthetic.
