Yeah, it's not the best translation. That kinda bothered me at first, but I got used to it. It's a pretty quick read once you get into it.

The movie is even more fucking ridiculous than the novel, for the most part. Japan has a real aptitude for making B-movies. Probably because their dramas haven't been good since like 1970.

so far, it's more concerned with just facts and doesn't seemed to have any political bias either way. Then again, I'm only to the part where he's entered medical school I'm hoping once I get to the juicy bits the book picks up a little bit TBH...real life is no fun to read about
